Early Life
Born in North Africa, Augustine led a wayward life before converting to Christianity through the prayers of his mother, St. Monica, and the preaching of St. Ambrose.
Conversion and Ministry
After his conversion, he became a priest, bishop, and one of the greatest theologians in Church history. His writings, especially Confessions and The City of God, shaped Western Christianity.
Legacy
St. Augustine is honored as a Doctor of the Church and a profound thinker on grace, truth, and the human heart.
